Isfahan is a great city in Iran which is located 406 km (252 miles) south of Tehran. Indeed, Isfahan flourished from 1050 to 1722, and particularly in the 16th and 17th centuries under the Safavid dynasty when it became the capital of Persia for the second time in its history under Shah Abbas the Great. Even today the city retains much of its past glory and its fame is for the Persian–Islamic architecture, grand boulevards, covered bridges, palaces, tiled mosques, and minarets. Naghsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan is the largest city squares in Iran and also it has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Isfahan also has many historical buildings, monuments, paintings, and artifacts.
As a consequence, all of these led to the Persian pun and proverb “Isfahan nesf-e- Jahan” which means Isfahan is half of the world.
Setareh Hotel, with a calm and pleasant environment, a combination of modern and traditional architecture and beautiful decorations, is located in the historical part of Isfahan, about 500 meters to Naghsh-e-Jahan square.
