A few thousand years ago there were documents of many Iranian cultural and economic interactions with the West and Europe. These interactions had increased from the Safavid period and reached to the highest point in the middle of the Qajar period. During this period, the king of Iran, Nasser al-Din Shah (16 July 1831 – May 1, 1896), went to Europe for the first time. He brought a doll as a souvenir for his wife. these trips led to changing the fashion taste of Iranian women. Due to increased number of European traveler to Iran and western-goods-shops in Iran, European dolls became popular. Iranian puppeteers also used these dolls in the puppetry. There are numbers of these dolls in the puppet and toy museum guesthouse in kashan.
